The Assisted Living facility is the newest addition to the care continumn offered by Merry Heart Senior Care Services
Merry Heart Assisted Living offers a comfortable and gracious lifestyle with assistance where needed in routines of daily living. Numerous services and amenities are included. Several choices of floor plans and living arrangements are available. Rates vary depending on required care, apartment location and size, and whether or not the room is shared. Appropriate level of care needed is determinded by a registered nurse. Care arrangements available include Alzhiemers's and Dementia care as well as Respite and Hospice stays.
The Merry Heart Assisted Living facility is located between Main Street and Route 10 at Hillside Avenue in Succasunna. It is conveniently near several shopping centers and major highways. Merry Heart Health Care Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility located adjacent to Merry Heart Assisted Living, offers Skilled Nursing, Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Long Term Care programs.

Three (3) nutritious, balanced meals each day with snacks available in between, all prepared under the supervision of our on staff Registered Dietitian
- Personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living as determined by an assessment by our facility’s Registered Nurse. Assistance may be required for:

Each resident’s level of care is assessed and determined by a professional Registered Nurse in collaboration with the resident and, if applicable, the responsible party. Based on the assessment, a personalized service plan is prepared for each resident as is necessary.

LEVELS OF CARE AND ANCILLARY FEES
Merry Heart Assisted Living offers three levels of care in addition to the basic services provided with the monthly apartment and care service rates. This applies to both our Assisted Living program and Memory Lane, Alzheimer’s/Dementia care, program. If a resident is assessed as “fully independent”, there will be no care cost added to the apartment rate. If a resident requires any of the three levels of additional care, supplementary fees will apply.
As indicated fees related to additional ancillary benefits may apply. Examples of ancillary benefits available are medication management and special treatment costs, medical supplies, special medical/adaptive equipment, beauty parlor/barber shop service fees, room service, guest meals, furniture rental, storage rental, private duty aide, etc. The fee structure depends upon services required and payments are due in the month following the rendering of the service.
